Director's Note
Some stories just transcend our experience. They take root in the soil of a culture and grow, like the Great Oak in Sherwood. Odysseus. Noah. Hamlet. Cyrano.
But all pale before the global treasure that is the story of Robin Hood. The archer, the avenger of wrongs, the generous thief, the fast friend, the champion of the poor and downtrodden. He and his beloved Maid Marian, his allies and his enemies have graced us non-stop for nine centuries.
Tonight we will take a few—okay, maybe quite a few—liberties with the legend, but only out of love. We honor the man, the tale, the legacy in our hearts.
Michael Lynch, Director

CAST

Kenneth Walter and Jamie Swearingen
Robin Hood and Maid Marian
Kenneth Walter is thrilled to be part of Sherwood this year! His previous credits include Avenue Q (Nicky/Bad Idea Bear 6) and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Leaf Coneybear), both with WYNOT Productions. He’s also performed in several Pueblo summer Musicals, including Hello, Dolly! (Horace Vandergelder), Les Misérables (Bishop of Digne/Various), Beauty and the Beast (Cogsworth), Damn Yankees (Applegate), and Shrek: The Musical (Ensemble/Featured). He is excited to bring his passion for theater to the stage once again, and thanks his family for all their support and love.
Jamie Swearingen has been with The Impossible Players since 2017. During this time she has been a stage manager, producer, assistant director and actor. Her more notable roles include Kayleen in Gruesome Playground Injuries, Molly in The Smell of the Kill and Ginny in Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche. She is excited to bring this show to all of you!

William Hambric and Frank Anderson
Friar Tuck and Little John
Will's been on our stage for three years now but ask anyone who knows him he's been impossible all his life. Will doesn't do this to elevate the theatre: he admits he's just addicted to applause.
Frank was part of Characters for Christ for many years in Colorado Springs, and just recently became a part of Impossible players this past year. Most recently, he was in “Reading Between the Lies" as Detective Cross.

Johnny Lucero and Taylor Cardinal
Sheriff of Nottingham and Sir Guy

Editor's Note: According to an online Rune Translator, "Johnny was born third in a litter of three and was voted most likely to get slapped by his high school classmates. He is one of two remaining bachelors in his whole family and was deemed most likely to die alone by his cousins."
Taylor Cardinal is happy to be back at the Playhouse, especially under the direction of Michael Lynch who previously cast him as Captain Smullet in Treasure Island. Taylor has been in too many productions to list here. Most recently, he was found behind the light board for Savannah Sipping Society.

Rodney Stimmel and Mike Reininger
Prince John and The Stranger
Rodney has been acting with The Impies for about 23 years, starting with The Sting and now Sherwood, with a scattering of shiny plays in between. He's thrilled to be performing for Michael again and having a blast working with many old friends, as well as a bunch of new ones. He wants to thank his wife, Trina, and his son, Logan, for supporting his acting whims—love you too, Roman! He hopes to see Trina up on stage soon. And of course, he wants to give a huge thank you to the audience—none of this would be nearly as fun without you.
Mike Reininger, Musician/Actor from Pueblo, Colorado. Past roles include; Caiaphas - Jesus Christ Superstar. Pharaoh - Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. Trekkie Monster - Avenue Q. Lurch - Addams Family Musical. Orin Scrivello DDS - Little Shop of Horrors. Lancelot - Spamalot. Chief - One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. Jesus - Reefer Madness. Jesus - Spelling Bee. After 40+ years on the road drumming for Rock Bands it’s good to be back home in Pueblo. There’s no place like home!
